I couldn’t know back then that my chosen subjects of music and sport would one day complement each other so well. As a musician I toured with bands, played keyboard in studio productions and gave several hundred performances as a solo entertainer. In my time away from music, I used to enjoy watching horse dressage. It was only much later on that the two came together.
Composition and arrangement were always my hobby horse. It therefore seemed logical that I should set up my own studio close to Hamburg. I have now been running it for over 20 years and have created a lot of songs interpreted by well-known singers such as Roland Kaiser and the Paldauer band (www.ralfroder.de).
I composed and produced my first freestyle dressage music in 1998 for Karin Rehbein and her legendary horse Donnerhall, with whom she came fourth in the individual placings at the World Equestrian Games in Rome. The German team won the team event!

In the last few years I have produced lots of freestyle dressage music for all genres and all classes. I enjoy the trust of many regular customers from pony riders to professional riders at home and abroad. My passionate commitment to each individual challenge and the quality of my work were rewarded in 2014 with the commission to compose the new freestyle dressage music for Kristina Sprehe and Desperados. Kristina won the German Championships at its premiere with 90.164 per cent!
